About The Program

The National Superintendents Forum stands as an esteemed assembly, bringing together Superintendents from K-12 Public School Districts nationwide. A diverse array of districts, hailing from over 20 states and encompassing both rural and urban landscapes, will converge, each grappling with its distinct set of challenges. District sizes will vary significantly, spanning from 2,000 to well over 100,000 students.

Within the program, participants can anticipate a rich tapestry of knowledge with over 20 Superintendent-led content sessions. These sessions are thoughtfully crafted to address timely and pertinent issues prevalent in the ever-evolving landscape of the K-12 industry, with a keen focus on the unique challenges faced by Superintendents.

Topics Of Discussion

Take a step back from the daily hurdles and reconnect with the essence of why you embarked on this journey in the first place. Rediscover your passion and purpose as you immerse yourself in a rejuvenating experience, forging connections with fellow Superintendents who share similar challenges. This collective camaraderie is bound to leave you invigorated and refreshed, as you draw inspiration from those who understand and navigate the same professional landscape.

With ESSER fuding coming to an end and budgets across the country being slashed – Superintendents need to connect with one another and get creative in order to reach objectives & strategic plans.

Superintendents will share out innovative ways in how they’ve overcome recruitment & retention challenges. Districts have seen success by creating college pathways, providing childcare for staff, building community engagement, creating a positive district culture, and more!

The World watched in shock the events of March 24, 2022, as 21 (22) 4th grade students and teachers were slaughtered in their Robb Elementary School classrooms. The 77 chaotic minutes that followed the first volley of shots led to worldwide scrutiny, anger and criticism. Within 60-90 days, the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Executive Directors, CFO, and Director of HR and Police Chief were terminated, resigned or retired. Mr. Patterson will walk you through the aftermath of one of the worst mass murders in United States History, from the law enforcement response, reunification, impossible Board meetings, hundreds of millions of dollars of litigation, media, mental health, anger and hopefully at some point- restoration.

Do national controversies influence local politics?Join your fellow Superintendents in navigating the unique challenges of leadership in this era, discovering how to adeptly navigate the role of a political figure while steadfastly championing the best interests of our students. Uncover insights and strategies that illuminate the path to effective leadership in a landscape where national issues intersect with the delicate balance of local governance.

Explore ideas and proven strategies that enhance the traditional curriculum, providing students with a more holistic and engaging learning experience.

Join us for an immersive session on transformational leadership. Explore strategies to ignite positive change, foster innovation, and elevate your district’s success. Delve into visionary approaches that transcend traditional leadership, empowering you to inspire and mobilize your educational community. Learn how to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability, and resilience, crucial in today’s dynamic educational landscape. Uncover the art of strategic communication, building strong teams, and navigating challenges with grace. Elevate your leadership to new heights, leaving with actionable insights to transform your role and impact. Don’t miss this transformative experience for visionary superintendents!

Artificial Intelligence has quickly become one of the most talked about topics in education! With the benefits of AI come some challenges and fears. This session is meant to solicit feedback from districts around the topic of AI and how it is being used. The session will also include an AI playground where prompts and tools will be shared to help increase district office efficiency! Bring your laptop and get ready to explore some of the best AI tools leaders can use to increase productivity and return time to our very busy days!

Delegate Testimonials

Superintendent
Anchor Bay School District, MI

This is my third event and they keep getting better. The conference is great about focusing on timely issues that all districts are facing and provides the ability to not only hear from industry experts, but also from colleagues around the country. Every time I attend it challenges my thinking and I leave refreshed with a slew of new ideas to help improve my district.

Superintendent
McMinnville School Disitrict, OR

RTM is very unique in design. They focus on networking and opportunities to learn about the different resources available to education. I always leave these events with one or more new contacts and several ideas toward improving my district. They are so impactful that I always try to bring at least one additional district person with me so that it has double the impact!
