About The Program

The National Superintendents Forum stands as an esteemed assembly, bringing together Superintendents from K-12 Public School Districts nationwide. A diverse array of districts, hailing from over 20 states and encompassing both rural and urban landscapes, will converge, each grappling with its distinct set of challenges. District sizes will vary significantly, spanning from 2,000 to well over 100,000 students.

Within the program, participants can anticipate a rich tapestry of knowledge with over 20 Superintendent-led content sessions. These sessions are thoughtfully crafted to address timely and pertinent issues prevalent in the ever-evolving landscape of the K-12 industry, with a keen focus on the unique challenges faced by Superintendents.

This year’s theme; “Refocusing on the Core Mission of K-12 Education Amid Overwhelming Demands,” sets the stage for an engaging and insightful experience.

Topics Of Discussion

Explore the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in education, focusing on innovative applications, ethical considerations, and strategies for successful implementation in schools. Gain insights into how AI can enhance teaching, learning, and administrative efficiency, preparing students and educators for the future.

In today’s uncertain world, ensuring the safety and security of schools has become increasingly complex. Explore essential strategies and frameworks to protect students, staff, and school communities. With a focus on adaptable solutions, sessions will address how schools can proactively prepare for and respond to a wide range of challenges—from physical threats like bullying and active intruder incidents to digital dangers, including cyberbullying and data breaches.

Superintendents face overwhelming demands and are expected to wear many hats. It’s important to prioritize self-care in order to be able to better care for your district and community. Superintendents can expect to leave sessions feeling a renewed sense of purpose and passion.

With ESSER funding coming to an end and budgets across the country being slashed – Superintendents need to get creative in order to reach objectives & strategic plans. Connect with other Superintendents to see what innovations they’ve implemented at their districts to drive down costs, as well as looking to other sources of funding.

Leaders will share how they’ve identified the root causes of chronic absenteeism, academic struggles, and behavioral issues, and how they’ve implemented specific support systems to help students overcome these obstacles. Sessions will explore using proactive, data-informed approaches that empower educators to make meaningful, individualized impacts on student success and well-being.

Communities across the country are divided and polarized. Superintendents can be the driver for establishing trust and a positive culture, in order to lead to better outcomes for students. Having clear and transparent communications should in turn help with parent and legislative demands.

Delegate Testimonials

Krislynn Dengler
Superintendent, Glens Falls City School District (NY)

I only went through the first day and I can already say that this event will have provided a catalyst for change with speed I wouldn’t have had without this experience.

Stephen W. McCanless
Superintendent, Cleveland Independent School District (TX)

RTM has exceeded my expectations. In all my 20 years of attending various conferences and workshops, I learned more at RTM on day 1 alone, and there are 2 more days of this conference! RTM has hit it out of the ballpark!!

Michelle DeWitt
Superintendent, Lyford Consolidated Independent School District (TX)

This has been an outstanding conference. The setup has made every meeting and session very intentional supporting the specific needs at my district.

Jason Mundorf
Superintendent, Kearney Public Schools (NE)

The RTM conference was incredibly well organized with a plethora of topics and information that is valuable for Superintendents. The discussions with other practicioners will illuminate strategies for improvement and ideas for improvement consideration. The conference is definitely worth your time!
